Singularity and Reproduction of the Photographic Image

Annotation: The theoretical part of the dissertation focuses on the transformations of the status of the photographic image original and the relation between photography and other artistic media in the course of technological evolution. It also addresses the question of the possibility of defining the characteristics of an artistic medium and examines the extent to which the process of the formation of an artwork might be included in the artwork itself. Consequently, it provides starting points for the practical part, which deals with embracing the daguerreotype process and the work with this technology.
